A Second Canvas Case Study
The Episcopal Museum of Vic wanted to give visitors a richer way to experience the “Oliva episcopus” exhibition, especially the Ripoll and Roda bibles, which could only be displayed as open to a single page and could not be touched. Second Canvas provided an interpretation device to help the museum complement the physical display with more digital content.
With Second Canvas, visitors could explore and interact with many additional pages of the bibles, either next to the objects as a digital label or through a 100% digital interactive format when the works were not on display. The result was a more engaging and flexible visitor experience, though no specific quantitative impact was reported.
