Tmeic Uses Remote Access To Improve Its Maintenance Service For Manufacturing Equipment

TMEIC Corporation, the industrial electric and automation systems provider, needed a secure and simple way to support customers’ manufacturing equipment remotely, especially when travel was restricted by COVID-19 and onsite maintenance resources were limited. The company evaluated several options but needed a solution that would not expose customer systems directly to the internet and would be easy for non-IT experts to operate.

TMEIC implemented Secomea’s remote access solution, including its M2M access management server and LogTunnel feature, to create secure, pre-registered connections between customer sites and TMEIC engineers. With Secomea, TMEIC expanded remote maintenance from domestic to overseas customers, reduced downtime, improved troubleshooting and data analysis, and enabled faster, lower-cost support without requiring local staff to have advanced technical skills.
