Nordland Automatic A/S, an automation solutions provider working with robots, PLCs, process and electrical control, and database management, needed a better way to provide support for equipment deployed around the world. To reduce travel costs and speed up service response, they wanted secure remote access to IFM controllers and other customer equipment regardless of brand, location, or connectivity.

Using Secomea’s remote access solution, including SiteManager and GateManager, Nordland Automatic could connect to machines instantly, even when technicians had to temporarily attach a SiteManager or use 3G where a wired connection was not available. The result was faster support response, easier administration of customer and third-party access, and the ability for engineers in Denmark to work on remote equipment as if they were on site.
