MacArtney, a global supplier of underwater technology products and systems, needed a faster way to support offshore customers without costly on-site service trips. The company had to remotely access Ethernet-, serial-, and USB-based PLCs and control equipment used in ship and underwater systems, and turned to Secomea for remote connectivity.

Using Secomea’s hardware gateway and remote access solution, MacArtney can now troubleshoot and configure serial, Ethernet, and USB-connected devices from afar, including USB frequency converters. The result is about 50% of issues being resolved without on-site visits, reducing travel and downtime costs while helping MacArtney deliver faster, more responsive service.
