A Seclore Case Study
Life Insurance Company, a life insurer with $12.97 billion in assets under management that relies on outsourced partners for printing, customer service and sales, needed to secure sensitive policyholder and agent data once files left its network. Existing perimeter controls (SFTP, IPS, DLP) left downloaded files vulnerable. The company selected Seclore and its Enterprise Digital Rights Management (EDRM) offering—specifically Seclore AppConnect—to protect information shared with outsource partners.
Seclore implemented AppConnect to “wrap” files with encryption and usage policies and to fingerprint authorized user‑machine‑application combinations so vendors can process files offline in native applications without exposing data. As a result, Seclore enabled the Life Insurance Company to continue outsourcing without increasing breach risk, meet legal obligations, and significantly reduce third‑party data exposure across its vendor ecosystem.
