Fugro - Customer Case Study

Fugro, a global leader in marine survey and geotechnical investigation services with operations in over 60 countries, faced costly revenue loss when proprietary survey reports and AutoCAD drawings leaked to competitors. To stop unauthorized viewing, copying and distribution of its files, Fugro deployed Seclore’s Enterprise Digital Rights Management (EDRM).

Seclore’s EDRM allowed Fugro to apply time-based and usage policies (view, edit, print, redistribute) across AutoCAD files, MS Office, PDFs and raw data, and even remotely revoke access, preserving the end-user experience across AutoCAD versions. As a result, Seclore helped Fugro eliminate roughly 95% of its security threats, enabled Fugro to collect payment before releasing drawings, and reduced report leakage—directly protecting revenue and giving Fugro a competitive edge.
