Case Study: EDCskincare achieves 42% of revenue from site search with Searchspring

A Searchspring Case Study

Preview of the EDCskincare Case Study

42% of EDCskincare's revenue is generated by shoppers who use site search

EDCskincare, a health & beauty retailer focused on inclusive skincare and cosmetics, faced the twin challenges of competing with Amazon/third-party sellers and helping shoppers quickly find products for specific skin concerns. To solve this, EDCskincare partnered with Searchspring to deploy advanced ecommerce search features — including improved autocomplete, natural-language understanding, and dynamic filtering — on their 3dcart site.

Searchspring implemented custom algorithms that understand beauty and skincare queries, a product-data layer that builds relevant filters automatically, and reporting to surface blind spots. The result: while only about 10% of visitors use site search, those shoppers drive 42% of EDCskincare’s monthly revenue, and the new autocomplete and search experience have steadily increased search conversion rates and product findability (e.g., shoppers can quickly filter results for queries like “sunburn”).
