Case Study: Cabin Place achieves 30% of online revenue from site search with Searchspring

A Searchspring Case Study

Preview of the Cabin Place Case Study

30% of Cabin Place's online revenue is attributed to the 8% of shoppers who use site search

Cabin Place, a long-standing rustic furniture and home decor retailer, struggled to serve two very different shopper types and to get new products seen using their native Miva setup. New arrivals routinely dropped to the bottom of category pages and manual spreadsheet-based sorting made merchandising slow and static, so Cabin Place turned to Searchspring, deploying Category Merchandising and Search & Autocomplete (and using Recommendations+).

Searchspring implemented dynamic category merchandising, global boost rules (based on units sold and revenue), improved facets/filters and reporting to focus effort where it matters, with a quick, mostly hands-off rollout. As a result, search users — just 8% of shoppers in 2020 — converted at 5x higher rates and generated 30% of Cabin Place’s revenue, while merchandising became faster and more data-driven thanks to Searchspring.
