Pflege.de, Germany’s largest elder-care lifestyle portal, undertook a three-month site relaunch to improve design and refocus on higher-quality, audience-driven content. In the first phase it removed 95% of indexed URLs and needed to inventory and cluster remaining pages for clean redirects, while monitoring old and new keywords to avoid any loss in organic search traffic.
To meet that challenge Pflege.de implemented the Searchmetrics Suite for holistic keyword research, site-structure checks and content optimization, using its Optimization and Content Performance tools to validate copy before and after launch. Despite the massive URL reduction, visibility began rising within two weeks; ongoing monitoring has maintained SEO KPIs, revealed new keyword opportunities and provided competitor insights to guide further content development.
