Seapine’s ALM Tools Enhance Content Management for Ovitas

Ovitas, a Burlington, MA–based provider of workflow-oriented content lifecycle management solutions for clients such as General Electric and the U.S. Marine Corps, needed better end-to-end control over its software development lifecycle. While the team already used Seapine’s TestTrack for defect tracking, Ovitas faced challenges in managing requirements, test cases, source changes and collaboration across distributed teams to improve efficiency, traceability and process adherence.

Ovitas expanded its toolset with Seapine’s TestTrack for requirements and test management and added Surround SCM for source control, creating an integrated ALM platform. The solution automated task assignment, provided email notifications and conversation tracking, linked requirements to tests, code and helpdesk items, and supported global collaboration — delivering measurable gains in development efficiency, productivity and customer satisfaction.
