Integra Telecom Improves Efficiency and Forecasting with TestTrack

Integra Telecom, a facilities-based integrated communications carrier experiencing rapid growth through acquisitions, faced a major testing challenge when its largest deal involved 80 systems, 70,000 customers and hundreds of business partners. The company lacked a centralized test case management system and repeatable tests—testers rebuilt cases from scratch for each project—and needed a licensing model that wouldn’t be cost-prohibitive when external partners joined testing during conversions.

After evaluating options, Integra implemented Seapine’s TestTrack for its ease of use and flexible named/floating licensing. The system was quickly adopted, centralized 4,000+ tests from 200 testers, enabled reusable test cases (saving an estimated 150 hours per test and roughly 600 hours for one team), improved reporting and defect analysis, reduced costs and time to market, and gave Integra the forecasting and efficiency gains needed for future upgrades and acquisitions.
