A Seapine Software Case Study
EuroAvionics is a UK provider of aviation software—notably quick, safety‑critical load, weight and balance tools for emergency aircraft—developed entirely under strict aviation regulations such as DO‑178B and DO‑200A. The company needed to maintain rigorous traceability, auditability, repeatability and flexible branching across a continuous development process that includes frequent feature changes, defect fixes and customer‑specific customizations.
To address this, EuroAvionics implemented Seapine’s ALM suite (TestTrack, Surround SCM and the ALM Reporting Platform) to manage change requests, link requirements to tests and code, enforce workflows and electronic sign‑offs, and support configurable branching and automated defect handling. The result was transparent regulatory traceability and easier audits, improved project visibility through custom reporting, and the ability to deliver reliable, safety‑critical software—with roughly 80–85% of needs met out of the box and the rest achieved through minor configuration.
