The HP Split X2 Provides 500GB HDD Storage in the Keyboard

HP needed a way to make its Split x2 stand out as a true two-in-one device, combining tablet portability with laptop functionality without sacrificing storage capacity. To support that goal, HP partnered with Seagate and used the Seagate Laptop Ultrathin HDD in the keyboard base of the HP Split X2.

Seagate’s 5mm Laptop Ultrathin HDD enabled HP to add up to 500GB of additional hard drive storage in a very slim, lightweight design, while still maintaining a detachable tablet form factor. The result was a more flexible next-generation PC with ample room for documents, photos, videos and music, including storage for up to 160,000 photos, one year of music, 250 hours of DVDs or 62 hours of HD video in the keyboard base alone.
