A Seagate Case Study
Fonogenic Studios, co-owned by three-time Grammy Award-winning keyboardist and producer Rami Jaffee, needed a better way to protect its ongoing music projects. With little time to manage backups while working with a steady stream of clients, Jaffee faced a major challenge when an unbacked-up drive failed and valuable material was at risk. Seagate helped address both the data recovery need and the ongoing backup gap, using Seagate Recovery Services and the Seagate Backup Plus Slim.
Seagate Recovery Services recovered the lost data affordably, saving Jaffee from having to re-record the material and helping him avoid significant time and expense. To reduce future risk, Fonogenic Studios began using a portable Seagate Backup Plus Slim, which offered large capacity in a compact form factor and made it easier to keep projects consolidated and backed up on a single drive. The result was a simpler, more reliable backup workflow with less time spent searching across multiple drives and greater confidence that projects would be available when needed.
