Naturespace, the leader in 3D sound collecting and recording, needed a reliable way to capture and store huge amounts of field audio in harsh outdoor environments. Seagate helped support this workflow with Seagate Desktop SSHD and Seagate Laptop SSHD drives.

Seagate’s SSHD drives gave Naturespace the capacity, portability, and reliability needed to keep recording without worrying about data loss or drive degradation. The solution combined NAND flash and HDD technology for improved reliability and SSD-like performance, while the laptop model’s 7mm design supported ultra-thin, lightweight systems in the field. As a result, Naturespace was able to back up recordings redundantly and maintain a dependable production process, with no data lost despite hard drive failures in the field.
