The customer, a major Midwest airport, faced a challenge with its on-premises SQL environment, which could only be queried during limited windows without disrupting live operational systems. SDI Presence was engaged to design a cloud-based data architecture that would expand analytics access while preserving the airport's operational stability.

SDI Presence implemented a solution using Microsoft Azure, creating a centralized data lake and using Azure Data Factory for ETL processes. This shifted reporting workloads to the cloud, delivered analytics-ready datasets via Azure Synapse Analytics and Power BI, and eliminated risk to the source systems.
