The challenge was to breathe new life into the 1960s property, creating an eclectic and welcoming brand that would resonate with both locals and guests, integrating it into the fabric of its North Charleston neighborhood.

The solution was a comprehensive branding and design program. SDCO Partners developed a playful, vintage-inspired identity with custom illustrations, signage, and experience touchpoints that extended throughout the entire property, including its Burgundy Lounge cocktail bar. This created a consistent and immersive guest experience. Following the grand reopening, the revitalized Starlight was celebrated as a local oasis, praised for its warm hospitality and distinctive mid-century-meets-modern design.
