A Sculpteo Case Study
Jean Paul Gaultier, an iconic haute couture fashion house, sought a manufacturing solution to produce highly intricate and unconventional dress components without compromising on speed, precision, or creative freedom. The challenge was to bring complex, sculptural designs to life that would be difficult or impossible to achieve with traditional methods. They partnered with the vendor Sculpteo to utilize advanced 3D printing technology.
Sculpteo employed Multi Jet Fusion (MJF) technology using TPU and PA12 materials to 3D print the haute couture components. This solution provided the exceptional design freedom and dimensional accuracy required, enabling the rapid transformation of creative concepts into high-quality production-ready parts. The result was a striking collection that successfully blended digital manufacturing with meticulous hand craftsmanship, demonstrating how 3D printing can expand the possibilities of contemporary fashion design.
