A Sculpteo Case Study
Iadys, a French robotics company specializing in autonomous water-cleaning robots, needed a cost-effective way to manufacture small series of highly accurate, durable parts. These components had to withstand prolonged immersion in water, including salty marine environments, and resist exposure to hydrocarbons. To meet these challenges, Iadys partnered with vendor Sculpteo and utilized their Multi Jet Fusion (MJF) 3D printing service with PA12 S material.
Sculpteo's solution provided Iadys with production-ready parts, such as threaded net standoffs, that combined high dimensional precision with excellent chemical resistance and durability. The use of 3D printing avoided the high tooling costs of traditional methods and offered the flexibility required for efficient deployment. This partnership allowed Iadys to accelerate the development of its robotic systems, resulting in reliable, field-ready solutions that contribute to the company's mission of cleaning waterways. Sculpteo delivered consistent quality and a smooth, reliable manufacturing workflow for series production.
