A Sculpteo Case Study

Dronavia accelerates drone safety part development with Sculpteo's MJF and SLS 3D printing

Dronavia, a European leader in safety accessories for professional drones, faced the challenge of producing mission-critical parts that were both extremely lightweight and highly durable to preserve drone battery life and performance. They needed to rapidly develop these components with optimal materials and finishes to keep pace with the fast-evolving drone industry. To overcome this, they partnered with the vendor Sculpteo and utilized their 3D printing services, specifically Multi-Jet Fusion (MJF) and Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) technologies with Nylon PA12 material.

By leveraging Sculpteo's additive manufacturing capabilities, Dronavia was able to produce nearly all of its custom and standard parts, including mounts and covers, with high precision and quality. The solution provided by Sculpteo significantly accelerated Dronavia's development cycle and time-to-market for innovative safety technologies like parachute systems, circuit breakers, and geocaging devices. This partnership allowed Dronavia to quickly adapt its solutions to new drone models and maintain its position at the forefront of drone safety innovation.
