A Screenly Case Study
The Interlochen Center for the Arts, a secondary school and arts community, needed a scalable and easy-to-use digital signage solution for its large campus. Their IT department, led by Dave Bondurant, sought a system with a low barrier to entry that could be managed by non-technical staff without burdening IT with constant change requests. They evaluated several options before choosing the Screenly digital signage service.
Screenly provided a cost-effective solution using Raspberry Pi-based players and an intuitive content management system. This allowed Interlochen to quickly scale its deployment to over 65 digital signs across campus. The solution empowered non-technical marketing staff to manage content independently, saving the IT department significant time. Screenly's hardware, including its Power-over-Ethernet compatibility, proved especially useful for installing screens in locations where power was difficult to access.
