Digital Signage for New Zealand’s largest Seafood Company

Sanford, New Zealand’s largest seafood company, needed a digital signage platform that could scale across a wide and remote operation, from barges in Stewart Island to ocean vessels away at sea for months at a time. Using ScreenCloud, Sanford wanted a cloud-based solution that could share news, media, and events with employees anywhere in the world, even over a high-latency satellite connection.

ScreenCloud implemented a remotely managed digital signage system using devices such as Amazon Fire TV sticks/boxes with local caching to support unreliable satellite links. The result was faster, centrally controlled internal communications across the business, easier deployment to remote vessels, and hardware that was independent from content, reducing the need for backups or disaster recovery planning.
