Harare International School, an International Baccalaureate school in Zimbabwe, faced the immense challenge of maintaining educational rigor and fostering student connection while pivoting to distance learning during the pandemic. The school needed an accessible tool that worked across different platforms to empower both teachers and students.

The school implemented Screencastify, a Chrome browser extension, which proved easy to install and use on any device. This solution empowered students to take control of their learning with on-demand videos and allowed them to create their own tutorials. Teachers used it to provide video instruction and feedback, resulting in the creation of over one thousand videos and making class time more effective. Screencastify provided a simple, platform-agnostic tool that helped the school meet its mission.
