TechCrunch, an AOL affiliate and leading tech news and events publisher, needed to replace the registration system that manages attendee data for events of up to 5,000 people. Their marketing team was authorized to run the sourcing process but lacked a formal tool and had limited strategic sourcing experience, so they needed a simple, structured way to gather proposals and evaluate vendors quickly.
Using Scout RFP, TechCrunch built and launched an RFP in about 30 minutes and selected a preferred supplier within two weeks. Scout centralized supplier responses, provided a questionnaire builder, weighted scoring, side-by-side comparisons, and built-in messaging, enabling faster, more rigorous evaluations and allowing the marketing team to identify and evaluate more vendors without manual spreadsheet work.
