Tantardini’s, a European-style bakery and deli in Redding, California, was growing quickly and considering a move to a larger space. Owner Diego Tantardini also needed help adapting his European business background to the U.S. market, navigating local regulations, and building a solid business plan to support his visa renewals.

SCORE Mentors Berks and Schuylkill Cty helped Tantardini’s with local business guidance, financial planning, and small-scale business planning. The mentors worked through the numbers, identified customer bases and product opportunities, and helped create the documentation needed for visa renewals. As a result, Tantardini’s grew successfully enough to win a Greater Redding Chamber of Commerce Mom & Pop Business Award in 2016 and expand into wholesale sales to restaurants, coffee shops, and the local convention center.
