Shirt Pickle, Inc., founded by Thomas Pickles in North Tonawanda, New York, launched in 2015 with a challenge common to new businesses: securing initial funding and building a solid business plan for a completely new company. To help get the business off the ground, Pickles worked with SCORE Mentors Berks and Schuylkill Cty through mentor Frank Uhlman.

SCORE Mentors Berks and Schuylkill Cty helped Shirt Pickle develop a business plan and position the company to secure startup funding. With that support, Shirt Pickle has grown rapidly, increasing year-over-year revenues by 47% and projecting a 58% increase in 2018, while also moving into a larger space, purchasing equipment to double production capacity, and planning to hire its first two employees.
