RxPharmacist, founded by Maryam Khazraee in Ormond Beach, Florida, needed help turning a gap she experienced as a pharmacy student into an affordable test-prep business. Early in the planning process, she turned to SCORE Mentors Berks and Schuylkill Cty for guidance on launching the company, building its website, and shaping its marketing and business materials.

With support from SCORE Mentors Berks and Schuylkill Cty, Khazraee received ongoing mentorship on contracts, promotional strategy, copyright issues, and hiring for an externship program. The results were strong: RxPharmacist successfully launched, generated enough revenue to hire two pharmacy graduates, and by late 2017 had released three test-prep guides with two more in development, while planning to expand into four additional states in 2018.
