Norhart, based in Forest Lake, Minnesota, is a company that builds and leases high-quality, affordable homes. When one of its newer apartment buildings faced unhealthy vacancy levels that its internal efforts couldn’t fix, the company turned to SCORE Mentors Berks and Schuylkill Cty for help with marketing and public relations.

SCORE Mentors Berks and Schuylkill Cty provided mentoring through advisor Neil Posnansky, helping Norhart improve its marketing and PR strategy. The support led to significant press coverage, new community partnerships, and stronger business momentum; by April 2018, Norhart rented 43 apartments in a single month, setting a company record, and it was later named a finalist for the 2018 American Small Business Championship.
