Love Your Pet Bakery, led by owner Valarie Kamdar in Park City, Utah, grew from a pet food bakery into a dog and cat nutrition boutique focused on raw pet food. As the business expanded, Kamdar needed help strengthening accounting, pitching, and marketing to support online and overall growth.

SCORE Mentors Berks and Schuylkill Cty, through mentors Dan Wallace and John Pietro, helped Kamdar improve her financial planning, develop a marketing plan to drive online sales, and build confidence in public speaking. With this support, Love Your Pet Bakery became a finalist for the 2018 American Small Business Championship, grew to stores in 10 states, expanded its staff, and began implementing a growth plan that includes forming a board of directors.
