Kingdom Builders LLC, led by Rodrick and Nicole Daniels in Wyoming, Michigan, wanted to better structure its construction business while also enabling Nicole to manage the books herself instead of hiring outside help. With support from SCORE Mentors Berks and Schuylkill Cty, the company sought guidance on business organization and hands-on training in QuickBooks.

SCORE Mentors Berks and Schuylkill Cty matched the Daniels with mentor Ken Baker for business structure coaching and Fred Kistler for twice-weekly QuickBooks training. As a result, Nicole became fluent in QuickBooks and is now able to maintain accurate records for both the business and the church on her own. The practical training saved the company from needing to hire bookkeeping help and gave the owners greater confidence in their financial management.
