Be Still Float Studio, owned by Gina Schimpff in Jacksonville, Florida, set out to launch a flotation therapy business in 2017. As she prepared to open, her projected costs rose significantly after researching float tanks and center features, creating a challenge in turning her idea into a workable business plan.

SCORE Mentors Berks and Schuylkill Cty helped Schimpff refine that plan through mentoring and workshops, turning it into a “living document” she still uses to guide decisions. With SCORE Mentors Berks and Schuylkill Cty’s support, Be Still Float Studio successfully launched in 2017, and Schimpff gained a stronger understanding of every detail and how the numbers were calculated.
