Brigham Young University - Customer Case Study

Brigham Young University (BYU) needed a better way to recreate in-person networking and relationship-building for business students in a hybrid learning environment. Traditional Zoom sessions left students disengaged after lectures, so Professor Sean Bair looked for a more interactive solution. BYU used Scoot to create a more vibrant classroom experience.

With Scoot, students could move freely among simultaneous conversations instead of being limited to breakout rooms, making discussions feel more natural and engaging. The result was higher participation, stronger peer connections, and a more human hybrid learning experience. BYU reported 100% increased student engagement and 2x more dynamic discussions, and Professor Bair said he would continue using Scoot for future classes.
