Shepley boosts composite door production with SCM Accord 25 FX CNC

Shepley, a UK-based fabricator of PVCu windows and composite doors, faced the challenge of increasing its manufacturing capability to satisfy growing demand while maintaining its competitive edge. To achieve this, the company needed to invest in state-of-the-art machinery that could handle bespoke, one-off orders efficiently. They partnered with vendor SCM to find a suitable CNC machining solution.

SCM implemented an Accord 25 FX CNC machining centre for Shepley. The solution included the Xilog MAESTRO CAD/CAM software suite for in-house programming and a TecPad handheld remote control for mobile operation. This allowed Shepley to gain total control over its production, switch programs on the fly, and process unique door orders quickly. The investment from SCM enabled Shepley to expand into a new facility and maintain its position as an award-winning industry leader.
