Gelsomino Edilizia digitizes wooden house production across 5,000 square metres with SCM

Gelsomino Edilizia, a family-run construction company based in Manfredonia, Italy, sought to promote a new ecological vision of building with highly customized wooden houses. Their challenge was to shift their core business from steel to wood and improve the precision and efficiency of their production process. To achieve this, they partnered with vendor SCM and invested in the 'oikos x' CNC machining centre.

SCM provided a complete technological solution with the oikos x machining centre, which digitized Gelsomino Edilizia's entire production area. The solution enabled millimetre-precise cuts, eliminated the need for on-site adjustments, and sped up installation. The partnership with SCM, which included vital training, allowed the company to cut down production time, employ seven new people, and move closer to its goal of making wood its primary core business.
