Bristol-Myers Squibb faced a failing, custom-built reporting environment (Access and Excel) that could not scale with growing business complexity: multiple data sources, time-consuming manual validation and manipulation, poor data flow to brand teams and Key Account Managers, and risky reliance on individual knowledge. After evaluating vendors, Bristol-Myers Squibb engaged SCIO Health Analytics and its SCIOIntelligence platform (with XLCubed front-end) to replace the fragile in-house solution and provide an outsourced, maintainable BI capability.

SCIO Health Analytics implemented a SCIOIntelligence instance on Microsoft Analysis Services, delivering a production run within three months that integrated 23 data sources (over 40 files) into a single cube and produced 100+ dashboards and reports via XLCubed for brand teams, sales, market research and senior management. The platform was rolled out across BMS UK with “tremendous feedback,” improving data continuity, reducing manual processing and enabling new visualizations (including mapping and fractal maps), while giving Bristol-Myers Squibb a flexible, supported BI solution.
