A SciNote Case Study
Technische Hochschule Wildau, through its Molecular Biotechnology and Functional Genomics group, wanted to move away from paper lab notebooks and modernize its laboratory workflow. The team had only about six weeks to establish a digitalized process and needed tools that could support collaboration, protocol management, and more up-to-date lab organization. SciNote provided the electronic lab notebook (ELN), along with Gilson’s TRACKMAN Connected pipetting system, to help them make the transition.
With SciNote, the group received ELN accounts within two weeks and completed two remote trainings, enabling them to start working digitally right away. The solution gave them structured project, experiment, and task management, plus features for protocols, inventories, reporting, and activity tracking, while the TRACKMAN Connected system streamlined pipetting and generated reports that could be uploaded directly. As a result, Technische Hochschule Wildau took its first steps toward a fully digital laboratory and gained significantly more functionality than with a paper notebook.
