NanoTemper Technologies - Customer Case Study

NanoTemper Technologies, a biotech company headquartered in Munich, Germany, needed a better way to document and share research as it grew from startup to an established biophysics instrumentation company. Its work had been spread across paper lab books and multiple digital tools, making it difficult to organize experiments, share results internally, and quickly find useful data. NanoTemper chose SciNote, an electronic lab notebook, after evaluating several options over nine months.

With SciNote, NanoTemper implemented a centralized ELN for its Research department to record protocols and results, improve collaboration, and support internal handoffs between teams. The company found SciNote easy to use while meeting security, single sign-on, and GDPR requirements, and appreciated the activity feed for staying up to date on colleagues’ work. As a result, researchers gained better visibility into one another’s experiments, could collaborate more easily on analysis and reporting, and the company is now rolling out SciNote to the Development team.
