A SciNote Case Study
Bryn Mawr College, where Dr. Lisa Watkins teaches General Chemistry labs, needed a better way to manage student lab reports, paper data sheets, and grading for around 90 students each year. The college chose SciNote, an electronic lab notebook platform, to create a dedicated space for each student and give graduate teaching assistants easier access to submissions and grading examples.
With SciNote, Dr. Watkins organized each student’s prelab, data, and report in one place, reduced misplaced paperwork, and made it easier to track missing work. SciNote also streamlined grading, helped train graduate teaching assistants, and eliminated physical lab notebooks, saving significant time during the semester while reducing costs for students.
