The Oil and Gas Industry’s client, one of the leading providers of asset control services and software for oil and gas, had a desktop application for monitoring rod pumping equipment that was slow and difficult to use. To address this, it worked with ScienceSoft to replace the desktop tool with a web-based application.

ScienceSoft delivered a web application that connects to the client’s server through HTTP requests and responses to display oil well data, including rod and gearbox loading and alarms. The interface uses a tree-structured data view and is designed for mobile screens, and ScienceSoft also built a service to convert XML data to JSON. The result was a convenient web application for quick access to equipment condition data at any time and from any device.
