Mobile-enabled AES encryption tool on Xamarin

Xamarin is a Swedish IT startup that develops encryption solutions based on the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES). To extend its Windows desktop encryption tool to iOS, Android, and Windows Phone, it chose Xamarin and turned to ScienceSoft for help.

ScienceSoft developed Xamarin-based mobile apps with reduced but practical functionality, using Bouncy Castle cryptography algorithms to recreate AES encryption on mobile. The apps let users sign in, open files encrypted with the desktop solution from internal or cloud storage, decrypt and view them, and access recent files, account status, subscription time left, support, feedback, and online payment links. Xamarin was satisfied with the results and planned additional features, including editing decrypted files and re-encrypting them in a later release.
