Leading Swiss provider of custom Business Applications and Solutions based on Microsoft SharePoint technologies sought a reputable partner for a long-term relationship and began with a two-week pilot project with ScienceSoft. The work focused on functional and automated testing for the Data Viewer SharePoint component used in the client’s bespoke solutions, including end-user and configuration testing across IE 8, IE 9, IE 10, Firefox, and Chrome.

ScienceSoft designed and executed manual functional test cases, validated data setup and data mapping, and documented weak points in a detailed report. In the automated stage, ScienceSoft checked data sorting and filtering and built a data-driven, keyword-driven framework that supported different localizations and could run with any Data Viewer component on the client’s sites. The client received a robust, flexible, and scalable framework, gained feedback that helped correct defects quickly, and planned a new joint project with ScienceSoft.
