Healthcare Centers used ScienceSoft to rewrite a Java application that supported 200 healthcare centers and retirement homes. The company needed a better way to process data on medication inventory, clinical services, patient data, marketing activities, and reporting, while also enabling quality population health analytics with prompt reports.

ScienceSoft built an analytical Microsoft SQL Server data warehouse and used Transact-SQL to load data from a relational database consolidated from 200 databases totaling 12GB. ScienceSoft also created reports with JReport, including Medication Classification Report, Missed Medications, Hospital Readmissions, Employee Performance Report, and Community Marketing Activity Summary. As a result, Healthcare Centers’ end clients can improve management processes with prompt analytics reports, and the two companies plan to build OLAP-cubes for advanced healthcare data analytics and information processing.
