Finnish Pension Insurance Company - Customer Case Study

Finnish Pension Insurance Company is a Finnish pension insurance provider with more than 50 years in business, €35+ bn in assets, and 900,000 customers. It was using an older TMH technology to handle part of its internal documents, but the system was difficult to maintain, so it needed a platform that could consolidate data from different sources and create, archive, and print documents. The company worked with ScienceSoft and StreamServe document management software.

ScienceSoft created document templates for internal use and for customers, with about 40 templates covering pension calculations, reported income, payment and retirement data, pension records, earnings data, and contribution payment instructions. ScienceSoft also implemented tools for PDF printing and archiving, including archive output connectors and Base64 encoding schemes, and enabled browser access through the corporate portal and customer accounts. The solution simplified document workflows and handled 9,000+ documents per month from web requests plus nearly 5,000 documents per month for printing and archiving.
