Leading Aluminum Solutions, the world’s leader in aluminum profile development and manufacturing, had recently merged with the second-largest player in its market. With operations in over 30 countries and 15,000 employees, it needed a way to integrate two different administrative structures and internal processes without disrupting daily business. ScienceSoft was brought in to support the intranet project using SharePoint.

ScienceSoft built an enterprise portal on Microsoft SharePoint and matched the new solution to the look and feel of the company’s legacy EPiServer CMS environment to keep the learning curve low. Working with stakeholders, ScienceSoft created templates and predefined workflows for managing projects, roles, tasks, and distributed teams. The result was a centralized portal that unified and integrated business processes across the merged companies.
