Europe’s Largest IT Service Provider, one of Europe’s largest IT service providers with more than 20 offices and nearly 16,000 employees, needed to build a disaster-tolerant data center at one of its offices and required full infrastructure support. The main challenge was deploying Vblock Systems, an integrated infrastructure platform with servers, switches, storage, and virtualization software, in the country for the first time.

ScienceSoft worked with vendors and third-party service providers to design and launch a data center infrastructure that could scale and reduce operational costs. The environment included 80 physical servers and 200 virtual machines running Windows and Linux with VMware vSphere, and ScienceSoft also handled the migration of the legacy data center to another office in a different city without downtime. ScienceSoft continues to provide L2/L3 support through a team of 2 Network and 3 System Engineers, while the customer maintains full and uninterrupted control over the data center.
