A ScienceSoft Case Study
The customer, Consul Risk Management (later acquired by IBM), was an IT security company facing challenges in developing its Auditor-in-a-Box software due to overloaded internal resources, ineffective project management, and missed deadlines. To overcome this, Consul partnered with vendor ScienceSoft for software development outsourcing services.
ScienceSoft formed a self-managed team of 19 developers who integrated into Consul's environment and delivered four product releases. The vendor also implemented process improvements that reduced the development time for each autonomous Event Source module from 5-6 months to just 3 months. This successful collaboration ensured timely product delivery, which was a key factor in IBM's subsequent acquisition of Consul.
