The Child Care Organization in the Netherlands needed to enhance its existing Microsoft Access application for child care personnel planning. The goal was to improve the user interface and make the system available over the Internet and intranet.

ScienceSoft rebuilt the application as a web solution using WPF and XBAP, with functionality delivered through web services. The result was a tailored system with a rich user interface for controlling employees’ time and working schedule, including features for scheduling work time, planning vacation, and registering medical certificates.
