ScienceSoft was engaged by a US consumer products company to streamline its document management and business processes. The client needed to introduce an approval workflow into its SharePoint Online intranet that could track approval rounds, send reminders, and allow for easy creation of new requests based on existing ones.

ScienceSoft developed an automated approval workflow using SharePoint Designer 2013 and customized forms with JSLink. The solution included automatic email notifications, the ability to start workflows both manually and automatically, and a separate reminder workflow that sent prompts every five days. This resulted in accelerated document-induced operations, enabled process analysis through round tracking, increased employee accountability, and saved time via a new item duplication feature.
