Case Study: The Francis Crick Institute streamlines procurement with Science Warehouse

A Science Warehouse Case Study

Preview of the The Francis Crick Institute Case Study

Francis Crick Institute - Customer Case Study

The Francis Crick Institute, a ground-breaking medical research centre in London, needed a new purchasing approach after bringing together multiple legacy sites. Its procurement team faced disparate data, difficulty using supplier catalogues effectively, concerns around incorrect tax codes, and challenges tracking supplier pricing, compliance, and other end-user issues. The institute worked with Science Warehouse, using an eMarketplace and integrated purchasing solution to support its Agresso system.

Science Warehouse implemented a rich electronic catalogue and integrated transactions hub that gave more than 1,000 users access to a broad product range and better compliance controls. The solution allowed the institute to review catalogue items before they went live, keep track of supplier pricing, and support configurable punchouts for custom items. The results included nearly 40,000 purchase orders raised in the last year, most successfully matched to invoices, along with faster ordering, reduced administration, and significant savings.
