Case Study: Prodis achieves efficient high-rise foundation design with SCIA Engineer

Prodis designs 3 towers and 786 apartments with SCIA

The customer, Prodis, a structural engineering firm, faced the challenge of designing the complex Sky Park Residence towers in Bratislava under very tight deadlines. The project involved an elliptical building with a piled raft foundation interacting with an underground railway tunnel. Using SCIA Engineer from vendor SCIA, including its Soil-In module, was key to meeting this challenge.

SCIA's solution allowed Prodis to promptly and easily modify the structural design and optimize the foundation. The use of BIM technology through a common model facilitated collaboration. The results were highly successful, with on-site monitoring showing a very good accord between the actual settlement and the calculations performed in SCIA Engineer.
